Books are friends who never leave your side. I find this saying to be very true as books have always been there for me. I enjoy   reading books . They have the power to help us travel through worlds without moving from our places. In addition, books also enhance our imagination. Growing up, my parents and teachers always encouraged me to read. They taught me the importance of reading. Subsequently, I have read several books. However, one boom that will always be my favourite is Harry Potter. It is one of the most intriguing reads of my life. I have read all the books of this series, yet I read them again as I never get bored of it. Why should we protect the Kuragala Sacred Area?

Image
The history of Sri Lanka has often been associated with Buddhism.  Hela culture mixed with Buddhism can be called the culture of not only Sinhala Buddhists but of all Sri Lankans.  But unaware of this, extremists often attempt to destroy archeological monuments that reflect Buddhist history and seize the land.  ⁇  Devanagala, Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Vijithapura are some of them which have been the subject of much controversy in recent times.  The Kuragala Archaeological Site, located at the end of the Ratnapura District, is another ancient site that has been heavily influenced by these extremists.  Various Buddhist organizations, societies and companies as well as monks spoke on behalf of Kuragala.  But this extremism did not stop there. Kuragala is a place of worship that has been a Buddhist place of worship since before the early Anuradhapura period.  In the days of the ancient kings, it was known as 'Thanduleyaya...

Dikkanda Walawwa where a mystery is hidden

Image
Anyway, I'm the only one who thinks this's something mysterious.  This Dikkanda Walawwa is located on the Yakkala Kirindiwela 231 road between Dikkanda and Wathurugama.  About 6 miles from Yakkala town you will come across Dikkanda Junction.  Starting from Dikkanda Junction, this large estate stretches for more than a kilometer up to Watarugama Pinwatta Junction. This is a 330 acre coconut estate and the fence continues until it reaches Pinwatta Junction.  This palace is located on the hill in the middle of the garden.  This palace is not visible at the foot of the estate or on 231 Road or anywhere around it.  It is very difficult to see the palace due to the large coconut groves and other trees.  However, if you look closely, you can barely see the palace.  But k.  M.  About 4 miles away.  It can also be seen in Maligathenna and Pettangala Kanda. History of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi

Image
The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred   Bo tree , or Ficus religiosa, that stands in the Mahamewna Gardens in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Not only is it the closest authentic living link to Gautama Buddha, it is also the oldest human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date and a recorded history. About 2,600 years ago, Lord Gautama Buddha sat with his back against an Esathu tree on the banks of the Neranjana River in Bodhgaya, India. It was at this moment, as he sat against the tree, that the Buddha is said to have achieved enlightenment. In doing so, the tree also gained a venerated status. It became known as the Bodhi tree, and pilgrims came to see it even within the lifetime of the Buddha. Later, in 236 BC, the Buddhist nun Sanghamitta Maha Theri was sent by Emperor Asoka from India to Sri Lanka. With her, she carried a southern branch of the original sacred fig. This branch was ceremoniously presented to Devanampiya Tissa, one of the ea...
